Fall 2020 Information
As we get closer to the dates of schools reopening and have started to compile reopening plans, we would like to give you some information on the services that we are continuing to provide during this pandemic and options for programming with Beyond Behavior Consulting.
Beyond Behavior staff is able to provide services to your child in any environment! Our essential frontline workers and amazing staff are dedicated to providing direct services in schools, homes, daycares, our clinic setting, or via telehealth. Whatever your plans are for school, we have you covered.
Beyond Behavior’s center calendar is now available. The fall program will begin on August 21st for children aged 3-6 enrolled in center programming. For students who are enrolled in Kindergarten and are not attending school in person, clinic options are available. We continue to ensure safety protocols in the building. Our comprehensive health and safety plan is available, a UV halo light system has been professionally installed through the duct system, temperature checks, limited capacity, sanitizing an cleaning protocols are implemented and maintained as previously laid out, and masks are worn at all times by staff.
If you child is attending school, our staff will support them there. If there are days of the week that your child is completing online learning at home/daycare, we can support them there as well! These services can also continue as telehealth support for clients who it may be functional for. Please speak with your behavior analyst if you have questions about these options.
After school: After school programs are now available at Beyond Behavior Consulting’s clinic!
If your child is not attending school on multiple days per week and you would like an alternative option for programming, our clinic will be open to school age clients from 4-6 p.m. Monday through Thursday!
We are an essential service and will be continuing to provide direct care to those who are comfortable with it and continuing to come up with creative ways to provide support to you during this time. We are hopeful that things will return to normal soon, but are prepared to provide alternative support if they do not.
Please keep in contact with your child’s staff for updated information and continued changes. And thank you for being patient and supportive to all of our BBC community during this time.
Summer 2020 Information
We hope you are staying well during this time. The pandemic has changed all of our lives and increased the amount of support that we have to give to our families as their caregiver, nurse, cook, teacher, and now therapist. Beyond Behavior wants to acknowledge the hard work and dedication that our families have put into maintaining your children’s routines and interventions to support them during closings. It is not easy but the resiliency of our clients and families is amazing.
We would like to give you some information on the services that we are continuing to provide during this pandemic and how services will be increasing in the safest way possible in the summer.
Beyond Behavior’s consultants have been remaining in touch with families to provide training and information on how to help children at home with behavior and skill strategies. We have been providing telehealth services to each of our families who agreed to them in the form of direct teaching and social skills groups. Each of these telehealth services have far surpassed our expectations of delivering this type of service. Clients are excited to see their therapist, engaged in online instruction tailored to their treatment plans, and excited to see their friends during group instruction. They have made progress with skills and have a whole new skill set in their repertoire.
For families who have wanted, or need, to continue direct service in their homes, some of our amazing staff have been providing in home treatment and continued care through the lockdown. Our essential front line workers, whether providing direct or telehealth treatment, are dedicated to helping you navigate this difficult time.
Starting June 1, Beyond Behavior will be opening the center for direct service. We are following social distancing and CDC regulation guidelines to provide the safest care possible while still providing much needed services to our clients. Here is what we are doing to make sure that we stay safe:
● Limiting capacity in the building to groups no larger than 10 (5 students at a time) and utilizing outdoor space to do this but also have available space for all clients that want to participate in center services.
● Checking temperatures prior to entry with a hospital grade temporal thermometer.
● Sanitizing the environment every hour and deep sanitizing between sessions.
● Staff will be required to wear masks. Children will be encouraged but not required.
● Washing hands regularly and before going in and out of different areas, after bathrooming, and before eating.
We are an essential service and will be continuing to provide direct care to those who are comfortable with it and continuing to come up with creative ways to provide support to you during this time. We are hopeful that things will return to normal soon, but prepared to provide alternative support if they do not. Additionally, we request that families continue ABA therapy in some way during this time, whether via phone call, telehealth, or direct service. If you do not have any contact with your child’s staff during this time, services will not be guaranteed in the future.
Please keep in contact with your child’s staff for updated information and continued support or changes. And thank you for being patient and supportive to all of our BBC community during this time.
